Pemakaian air conditioner di kantor jelas akan menimbulkan kenyamanan dalam bekerja.Begitu juga untuk pemakaian di rumah tinggal, air conditioner merupakan sarana yang mendukung kenyamanan kehidupan keluarga Anda.Hal yang perlu diperhatikan adalah bagaimana caranya untuk memastikan bahwa air conditioner tetap bekerja semestinya?
Melakukan service AC sendiri walaupun itu merupakan perawatan ringan tentu akan memberikan manfaat, yaitu selain membuat umur pakai air conditioner menjadi lebih lama,service AC secara ringan menyebabkan air conditioner tidak mudah rusak sehingga pada saat dilakukan service AC oleh teknisi tidak memerlukan penanganan khusus. Air conditioner yang tidak dirawat secara berkala dan saksama dapat menjadi polusi udara bagi penghuninya sehingga menyebabkan beberapa jenis penyakit, seperti penyakit pada saluran pernafasan. Hal ini disebabkan karena pendingin ruangan yang kotor dapat menyimpan berbagai virus dan bakteri yang kemudian disebarkan kembali ke seluruh ruangan sehingga masuk melalui indera penciuman, Hal tersebut diperkuat oleh hasil penelitian dari United State Environment Protection Agency (US EPA) bahwa polusi dalam ruang bisa dua hingga lima kali lebih tinggi dibandingkan polusi luar ruang dan satu dari lima besar polusi yang beresiko mengancam kesehatan manusia.
Untuk itu,service AC ini sangat diperlukan.Walaupun pemeriksaan komponennya diserahkan pada teknisi, tak ada salahnya untuk mengetahui komponen mana saja yang harus diberi perhatian khusus. Ada dua proses pembersihan AC, yaitu “Kecil” dilakukan untuk unit bagian dalam (indoor), misalnya filter dan penutup air conditioner, dan yang “Besar” mencakup komponen Indoor (evaporator-nya) dan bagian luar (outdoor). Pembersihan kecil bisa dilakukan sesering mungkin, misalnya dua minggu. Pembersihan besar cukup dilakukan tiga bulan sekali.
Langkah-langkah Pengerjaan:
Buka seluruh penutup Indoor unit,dengan cara melepaskan baut penutup, menekan pengancing, lantas menarik penutupnya.
Siapkan plastik pelindung untuk melapisi bagian sisi unit.Lapisan ini untuk melindungi panel kontrol AC dan tidak mengotori dinding.
Siapkan cairan pembersih elemen alumunium AC.
Campurkan dengan air-perbandingan air Applied 1:1.Oleskan cairan dengan kuas searah elemen kisi-kisi evaporator
Biarkan lima menit agar cairan bekerja maksimal sewaktu mengangkat debu karat, Semprot dengan air tekanan, Caranya dengan menutup sebagian ujung selang dengan ibu jari atau menggunakan sprayer sampai tak terlihat busa.
Untuk bagian blower tersiram air, semprot air sambil memutar-mutarnya dengan jari agar semua bagian blower tersiram bersih. lalu lubang pembuangan dibersihkan dengan pipet yang di tiup-tiup.
Keringkan unit indoor sebelum dipasang kembali.
Pemeriksaan dan Perawatan AC Rutin
Bagian indoor unit
1.Kontrol dan bersihkan saringan udara apabila saringan tersebut kotor penuh debu ataupun
lumut. Lakukan ini setidaknya sebulan sekali. Penyaring udara yang kotor akan menghambat proses sirkulasi udara dan menjadi tempat yang nyaman bagi kuman, bakteri maupun jamur. Bakteri inilah yang akan mengalir ke bagian evaporator coil kemudian tersebar ke seluruh ruangan. Lagipula komponen pendingin ruangan Anda kotor dapat memengaruhi kinerja sistem pendinginnya menjadi lebih berat, tidak menghasilkan dingin secara maksimal dan boros.
2.Pemeriksaan kedudukan terhadap dinding, jangan sampai kendor ataupun miring, jika
miring ada resiko kebocoran karena air tidak mengalir ke saluran pembuangan.
3.Periksa terminal rangkaian, biasanya apabila terlalu lama menyala, terminal akan panas
dan meleleh sangat beresiko terjadinya hubungan arus pendek
Bagian Outdoor unit
1.Periksa high pressuer dan low pressure, jika tekanan semakin hari semakin berkurang ada kemungkinan terjadi kebocoran pada instalasi pipa.
2.Periksa arus, sesuaikan dengan standarnya.
3.Periksa kisi – kisi, usahakan jangan sampai penuh dengan debu atau kotoran
Pastikan alat kondensor yang terletak di luar rumah bersih dari debu, semak-semak atau dedaunan. Tentu saja, sebelum Anda melakukannya, matikan pendingin ruangan terlebih dahulu. Anda dapat membersihkan debu dari kondensor tersebut dengan menggunakan vacuum cleaner.
